So many people have shared with me that they have always wanted to try camping with their families but were not sure the best way to get started or what options were available. Most of us have seen the CruiseAmerica and El Monte RV’s traveling down the freeway. That certainly is a good choice, but did you know there are some other pretty interesting options available?
Want to stay at the beach or take some toys out to the sand dunes? There are trailer rental companies that service many popular campgrounds and destinations. You book your campground site directly with the campground, then the trailer rental company will deliver the trailer of your choice, set it up at your reserved site and it will be all ready for your family’s arrival. You get to just show up and have a great time. When you are leaving, you just clean the trailer a bit and then you are on your way home. How easy is that?
Have you ever thought about cabins and cottages? There are a host of popular campgrounds that offer cabin rentals. Cabins and cottages offer another amazing opportunity to check out the camping lifestyle from within a more familiar environment. If your family is feeling adventurous, choose to spend the night in a tee-pee, safari tent, or a Yurt. How cool would that be!
Some campgrounds own their own fleet of rental trailers that can accommodate up to 8 people. All you do is book a site in their campground, they put a trailer on that site, all set up and ready for your arrival.
Now, all you have to do is decide what your family is looking for. Are you imagining yourself behind the wheel of an RV visiting multiple destinations? Can you see your family set up in one spot to relax and enjoy the beach or local attractions? Over the next couple of weeks I will be delving further into all these different ways to give camping a try including destinations, vendors, pricing and what you need to bring. Start checking your calendars now to see when you want to take your RV Adventure!
