Conveniently located within Unicoi State Park, this is a must-do for all adventurous families. Safety comes first so you can enjoy the park zipping through the tree canopy. The following tour is the tour we took and great for all beginners as long as they meet the age and weight requirements. Have a blast!
Level 1 Zipline Canopy Tour - Approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours of heart pounding FUN! This tour consist of:
11 ziplines that range from 75 feet to 400 feet in length
7 skywalk bridges & 2 towers
Heights range from 20 to 75 feet in the air!
You will enjoy a safari in the tops of very cool trees and zipping by the lodge with great views. Be sure to look for bald eagles, red tailed hawks, deer and our very cute raccoons.

You must be at least 8 years old for the Level 1 tour. The minimum weight is 50 lbs. We reserve the right to weigh anyone we think may be under or over the weight requirements.
The maximum weights we allow are:
Ladies: under 250 lbs
Gentlemen: under 285 lbs
You must be able to climb two 65-foot towers and a 100-foot tower. You need to have good balance capabilities, be able to walk on uneven terrain, and have full range of motion in your upper and lower extremities. You must be able to control your speed of travel along the zip lines by resting your gloved hands on the pulley and cable systems. It is required that you are able to understand verbal instructions and to pull yourself along cables in case you lose momentum before reaching any said platform. You must be able to see our guides and recognize hand motions. This is not recommended for those with moderate to severe heart and/or respiratory difficulties, recent surgeries, second or third trimester pregnancies or those with moderate to severe musculoskeletal problems. This is considered a moderate to heavy physical workout!

Unicoi State Park and Lodge is located in the mountains of Northern Georgia, just outside the Bavarian town of Helen. Convenient from Atlanta and centrally located to reach all the adorable mountains towns such as: Dahlonega, Hiawassee and Sautee Nacoochee. Unicoi offers many ways to stay and play. There is a comfortable lodge, rustic barrel cabins and of course, a campground. Being an Adventure Lodge, the offered activities can keep you as busy as you like!
Unicoi State Park and Lodge is a camper’s paradise. There are many campsites and arrangements to choose from including ADA sites, Buddy Hook-up sites, 30-foot and 40-foot RV sites and tent sites. Most sites offer at least power, water, fire ring, and picnic table. There are also full hookup sites! There is a dump station on-site. This is a pet-friendly State Park so your canine companion is invited to camp out with you; all dogs must be kept on a short sturdy leash at all times.
Want to try something different? Try a Squirrel's Nest primitive camping platform. Bring your hammock or a sleeping bad and sleep under the stars!

The 2-bedroom, 2-bath Smith Creek Cabins offer: full kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, central heating and air, along with easy access to trout streams and nearby Anna Ruby Falls.
Barrel Cabins range from a 1-bedroom, 1-bath with a sleeper sofa to 2-bedroom, 1-bath with King and or Queen accommodations offers easy access to many recreation activities including hiking trails, biking trails, and beach access.
Deluxe Cabins are a 3-bedroom, 2-bath option with two king bedrooms, one queen bedroom, a sleeper sofa, full kitchen, cable TV, fireplace and more.
