Set amidst acres of wilderness flanked by the picturesque Santa Ynez and San Rafael Mountains, lies glimmering Cachuma Lake. Here you will find practically everything you need for a relaxing getaway in the great outdoors. Mild temperatures, typically sunny skies, and celebrated fishing conditions.
Note: There is no swimming of any kind in the lake.
Located off scenic Highway 154 in the Santa Ynez Valley, Cachuma Lake is midway between Santa Barbara and the Danish Community of Solvang.

Cachuma Lake campground offers more than 400 campsites with 100 full electrical, water, and sewer hookup sites, and 30 electrical and water with no sewer (there is a dump station on-site). There are restrooms and coin operated showers available. There is a 2-night minimum stay for weekends (Friday and Saturday), and a 3-night minimum stay for holiday weekends.
There are four cabins available. Three six sleepers and one four sleeper (ADA). The three 6 sleeper cabins are located near the marina and offer views of the lake. These cabins are all equipped with electricity, full bathrooms, kitchenettes, living rooms, private porches, picnic tables and fire pits. Simply pack your sleeping bags/bedding, pillows, towels/toiletries and groceries.
There are 7 yurts (cross between a tent and tepee) which feature platform beds to sleep up to 6. There is a lockable door, lighting, heating and screened windows in the wood and fabric siding. Yurts are set on a bluff with access to the lake shore. There is a 2-night minimum stay for weekends (Friday and Saturday), and a 3-night minimum stay for holiday weekends.

Jalama Beach is a step-back in time. Due to it's "off the beaten path" location, it is a place to truly enjoy a seaside setting without the traffic, crowds, and noise. Miles of beach to explore and most likely, you will be the only one traveling from the main beach. There are also many conveniences including groceries, firewood, fishing bait/tackle, ice, beer and wine may be purchased at the Jalama Store. Don't feel like cooking? There is restaurant here that is open daily from 8:00 am. Great views from here!
Jalama Beach is approximately an hour drive from Santa Barbara and a 45-minute drive from Lompoc. A sign 4.5 miles south of Lompoc off Highway 1 will direct you onto Jalama Road. Follow this scenic 14.5 mile road to the coast.
109 campsites, all overlooking the ocean or beachfront. Each site has a picnic table and BBQ pit, with hot showers, restrooms and water nearby. 31 sites offer electrical hookups, and there is a dump station available.
Cabins have an awesome ocean view! You won't be roughing it much here either. Cabins include all kitchen items as well as a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. There is a queen sleeper sofa, satellite TV/DVD player, bathroom with shower, charcoal BBQ, fire ring and a porch with chairs! You must bring your own linens and towels as well as food, toiletries, etc. If you don't feel like cooking, Jalama Beach Grill is a quick stroll from the cabins.

William Heise County Park is a hidden gem! Sitting at 4,200 feet it is in a forest of pines and oaks. The park covers over 1,000 acres. Mule deer, wild turkeys are frequent visitors and a delight to the kids. There are over 10 miles of trails within the park from the easy .5 mile Nature Hike and Fern Trail, to the more strenuous Desert View Trail. Even with urban areas close by, stargazing here is amazing!

The park offers 20 partial hook-up sites (electric only) and 37 non hook-up sites. Sites can accommodate trailers, campers, tents, and motor homes up to 40 feet.

Each site includes a table, fire ring, RV Pad and a parking space. Water is nearby.
The Park offers 14 year-round cabins. Each cabin offers a propane fireplace, interior lighting, table and chairs, a food pantry, bunk beds, and a large room accommodating up to six people. One small tent is allowed on site. Be sure to bring your own bedding and mattress/pad for the beds. No pets are allowed in or around the cabin.
